
The Story Behind the Laughter
Jon has spent more than five decades bringing humor, intelligence, and heart to the stage. After his first appearance on stage in 1958 he went on to appear in the world premiere production of Tiger Tail, with artistic supervision by the author, Tennessee Williams. Jon also performed at Carnegie Hall in the title role of Renard with the Claude Kipnis Mime Theatre.
From the early years of acting and miming to his time as a cruise director entertaining audience at sea, Jon’s passion for connecting with people has always been the driving force behind his work.
Over the years, he’s performed everywhere from prisons (as an actor) to packed ballrooms, always reminding audiences that laughter is the best ingredient for life.

In 1995, Jon created Vinny Verelli, a bold and lovable character with street-smart charm, humor, and an unbeatable philosophy of life.
Vinny’s “Bada Bing Philosophy” a fun, no-nonsense approach to Negativity Management became Jon’s signature message to audiences around the country.

What started as a one-time character performance turned into a career-defining creation. Through Vinny, Jon has energized conferences, delighted event audiences, and shared timeless lessons about humor, resilience, and human connection.

Performer, Producer, and Storyteller
For over 30 years, Jon and his wife Ginny King led a production company in Atlanta, creating themed entertainment for corporate events and conferences.
While Ginny choreographed and costumed over 40 dance routines, Jon wrote, produced, and directed 15 interactive mystery shows. Together they have earned 8 Allie Awards for excellence in event production.
As a speaker and emcee, Jon brought the same wit and theatrical flair that made Vinny unforgettable mixing storytelling, improv, and insight to turn every event into a shared experience.
